Qualified candidate will have the following roles and responsibilities:
(1) Define functional specifications and features of next generation multimedia system and services for Toyota’s connected vehicle telematics software system, Mobile App and server services.
(2) Develop system engineering performance improvements as well as usability improvements of In-Vehicle Infotainment, multimedia, telematics services and server services.
(3) Collaborate with the development team and business partners for the entire life cycle of telematics product development (i.e. Planning, Analysis, Design, Software development, Integration, Testing, Evaluation, readiness, and Maintenance).
(4) Manage supplier product schedule, scope, milestones, identify minimum viable product, features prioritization, product functions integration, deliverables, quality and acceptance criteria.
(5) Support continuous improvement and process standardization during the software development and system evaluation and testing through Agile and Scrum methodology.
(6) Verify features testing and evaluation of telematics system and software services for product quality through tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
(7) Conduct software design reviews of multimedia head unit telematics software and interfaces / APIs with servers, Mobile App.
(8) Integrate Mobile App functions with Telematics system and server cloud services to provide connected experience for the vehicles. 
(9) Perform telematics system software integration with Server cloud services for connected telematics services. 
(10) Investigate and present program reporting, product development and testing status, risks, issues and recommendations to engineering teams, business leaders, and senior management.
(11) Evaluate and conduct product testing, test automation, product validation and evaluation to meet product quality and deliverables. 
(12) Develop product system test cases and manage test execution to validate product functional specification, triage and root-cause analysis. 
(13) Communicate with product function owners, cross-functional teams and stakeholders to plan and drive product features and prioritization that align with product strategy and milestones.
(14) Monitor system operation, product features dependencies, integration issues, risks and issues and assess to product testing readiness.
(15) Comply the telematics functions and services with security and privacy requirement such as CCPA.
(16) Configure servers to meet functional specifications of telematics services and web services and APIs on Linux, Kafka and AWS.
(17) Direct Embedded Systems software and hardware development, system integration and testing.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
(1) Embedded Systems
(2) Over the Air (OTA) Updates
(3) Bluetooth and BLE Protocol
(4) Voice Recognition/ Virtual Assistant
(5) Apps for Multimedia Systems
(6) Car Navigation Systems/CAN Data.
(7) Minimum 2 years of experience in Vehicle Electronics Development.
(8) Experience with development models (Agile, SDLC, RAD, Open source, others)
(9) Knowledge of following in-vehicle technology platform (Bluetooth, BLE, Wifi, MOST, or CAN).
(10) Experience with following technology (LTE, CDMA, GSM, mobile apps, or connected vehicle products)
(11) Ability to conduct root cause analysis, triage, and document
(12) Ability to document ES (Engineering Specification), FS (Software Functional Specification)
(13) Extensive working experience in automotive field focused on telematics services and products
(14) Strong understanding and experience with API and web services Linux, UNIX, OSX, AWS, Azure
(15) Strong understanding and or experience with Java, C#, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, C++, SQL, Swift, Android, Cocoa Touch
(16) Certifications (One or more): PMP, ITIL, Six Sigma, ACP, APMG, DSDM, CSM
(17) Successful product development and deployment experience

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
